Congo/Tourism: Brazzaville to host major tourist march to promote urban sites

BRAZZAVILLE, AUGUST 11 (ACI) – The travel and tourism agency “Wild Safari Tours” and the Office for the Promotion of the Tourism Industry (OPIT) will organize on September 28 in Brazzaville, the great tourist march, aimed at promoting emblematic urban sites and encouraging responsible, accessible and environmentally friendly tourism.

This march will be organized on the occasion of the celebration of International Tourism Day, commemorated on September 27 of each year, aiming to raise awareness among the international community about the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.

As part of a dynamic of awareness and collective mobilization around the importance of tourism as a lever for economic development, this walk will promote the culture of local tourism through a City Tour of Brazzaville on foot.

To ensure the success of this event, Opit invites tourism stakeholders, institutions, partners and lovers of discovery, walking clubs and sportspeople to participate in this civic and symbolic activity.

This walk will start at the Wild Safari Tours (Wst) Headquarters, located at Plateaux des 15 ans opposite the Kimbanguiste church and will end at the Rotary Club square at Square de Gaulle in the 2nd arrondissement of Bacongo. (ACI)
